Alam Mutiara is an abandoned project for almost 13 years now. The housing development is supposedly completed during the year 2002. Alam Mutiara was originally a farmland in which the community who owned the land refused to sell initially. After listening to the advice of authoritative figures, they eventually agreed to do so with the intent of developing the farm land. Despite the nature it has become, the people who had bought the units never stop in fighting to make the project realized as promised by the developer, Mujur Zaman Development. The latest effort carried out by the community was meeting the District Officer in July 2013. They are now still waiting for the court to call them to bring out the case in justice. Alam Mutiara is now listed along with Gombak Perdana Villa, Taman Juara Jaya in Kajang and Taman Mewah Jaya Plentong in the list of abandoned project (updated June 2012) which will be given an early recovery plan. The Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government is now looking for developers that will put these projects into realization.Alam Mutiara which is also known as Revolusi Hijau 2 is developed near to other developmental regions in Kuala Selangor which are Bandar Alam Bangsa, Bandar Puncak Alam, Puncak Bestari, Alam Jaya Industrial Park, Alam Perdana, Bandar Seri Coalfields and Alam Jaya Commercial Centre. These towns are connected with Jalan Meru Tambahan with easy access to Guthrie Corridor Expressway.
