For several years now, Klang has become a township with one of the highest crime rate. Residents are worried for their safety and to make matter worse, the criminals are becoming bolder and even committing crimes such as break-ins and snatch thefts in broad daylight. Even foreign workers were also robbed for their valuables while they were working.Residents who regularly jog have commented recently that although CCTVs have been installed near park areas, it is still not a solution to petty crime rates, stated a resident who used to jog in one of the parks in Klang. It might scare those who intend to commit the crimes for a while but not a long term solution as after 7.00 pm, most residents would not dare to even step into the parks as the front entrance is the only brightly lit but it is still dim within the parks, making them an easy target for petty crimes like snatch thefts and robberies.
