Taman Seri Emas is a housing development located in Kajang, in the state of Selangor. Set on the outskirts of the city, Taman Seri Emas is 5 minutes away from the main city of Kajang, and a half an hour's drive from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. The closest medical institution is the Kajang Hospital which is a 6-minute drive away.Taman Seri Emas is well located just off the main road of Jalan Sungai Chua, which connects directly to Jalan Semenyih which in turn connects to the SILK Highway. Other main highways that are easily accessible from Taman Seri Emas is the Kajang - Seremban Highway. Although public transportation is scarce at the moment, the future MRT train will be passing close to this housing development.

Taman Seri Emas is one of the more peaceful housing developments in Kajang, surrounded by other housing developments and backing Sungai Langat (Langat River). However, due to the concentrated number of people living in the area, roads tend to be congested during peak hours and even in the afternoons at 12 pm. Traffic is usually especially bad on Jalan Sungai Chua, Jalan Semenyih and Jalan Cheras.Despite the horrific peak hour traffic, residents of Taman Seri Emas and its neighbours enjoy a peaceful life set apart from the city. Residents here enjoy a quiet and peaceful lifestyle with friendly neighbours. Although crime is a problem in other neighbourhoods in Kajang, crime rate appears to be low to non-existent here as there have been no reports on thefts or break-ins in this area since 2009 amidst many crime awareness campaigns.Houses in Taman Seri Emas might have been considered as good investments when development from the city centre was spilling over to the outskirts, but since the uncertainty in the market this year in 2014, sales seem to be slowing down and there are many units in the market for sale. This is nevertheless a good thing, as genuine home buyers will now have a fair chance of purchasing one of these homes.
