Residents of Taman Kajang Perdana were once living in the dark as the streets of the residential area was unlit for six months after a switch box was removed by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). The streetlights were working fine when the residents first moved into the housing area but then the TNB authorities removed the switch box as they claimed that developer owed them money. The residents lodged reports with the TNB office in Bangi and also to the Kajang Municipal Council but no actions were taken. Residents suffered due to this issue as no one wants to take the blame for this matter. In terms of security, each resident is required to pay RM60 a month to hire security guards to help safe guard their homes as robberies, thefts and break-ins were on a high in the past in Taman Kajang Perdana.
