Taman Bidara is a freehold housing development located in the well established township of Kajang in the state of Selangor. It is a mere 7 minutes to the city centre of Kajang, whilst the city centre of Kuala Lumpur is a half an hour's drive away. The Kuala Lumpur International is only a slight drive further at 40 minutes, while the government office area in Putrajaya is much nearer at a 20-minute drive.Taman Bidara is one of the older housing developments, and consist mainly of double storey terrace houses. Sizes of the homes here cater to all sizes of families with built ups of the homes ranging between 825 sf and 1,600 sf, with between 3 to 4 bedrooms and 2 to 3 bathrooms. Prices are also reasonable, with the cheapest of the homes costing only RM230,000 and the bigger ones costing at least RM490,000.As one of the older developments, all the houses in Taman Bidara are fully occupied. Any of the limited houses that are released for sale are pre-owned, and are mostly sold with partial furnishings. Most of the time, new owners can expect an already furnished kitchen with built-in cabinets, hoods and hobs, while air-conditioners and water heaters are also the norm; and most of the homes also come with auto gates already.Taman Bidara and its neighbours were not built with recreational activities in mind, hence, there are no playgrounds nor jogging tracks and fields in the neighbourhood nor in any of the neighbouring housing areas. There is however a child development centre within Taman Bidara, as well as a surau within a walking distance of 10 minutes or a drive of 3 minutes.The hypermarket that serves the neighbourhood of Taman Bidara is Giant, while the closest mall is the Metro Kajang Plaza. There is a good selection of both primary and secondary schools within a 3.5 kilometres radius, including some Chinese language medium schools. The closest medical institution is the Kajang Hospital which is less than 10 minutes away, while banking needs are served by the many local banks less than 8 minutes away.Taman Bidara is one of the more well connected housing developments in Kajang as it sits just off the main road of Jalan Sungai Chua, which provides easy connectivity to major highways such as the SILK Highway, LEKAS Highway, PLUS Highway and the KL - Seremban Highway. The closest train station which is the Gudang KTM station is only 7 minutes away.

    Taman Bidara is one of the more well located housing developments in Kajang, placed in a highly sought after area especially for the people who work on the outskirts of the city. However due to the high density of housing developments, traffic gets downright congested during peak hours, especially after work. Main roads such as Jalan Sungai Chua which connects to Jalan Semenyih are the most affected, and traffic usually backs up right into the housing area on Jalan 7/1.Taman Bidara and its neighbouring housing developments such as Taman Taming Emas and Taman Berjaya Baru have a good mix of residents. Crime rate is quite low, with the last major thievery happening in the year 2007. The area is rapidly developing as well, with the development of more higher end condominiums such as the Pearl Avenue condominium.Homes in Taman Bidara used to be quite affordable until the price hiked when property development spilled over from the city of Kuala Lumpur into the outskirts. Since then prices have gone up by almost half, but many speculators have predicted that it will stabilise now if not reduce slightly to the correct level. Many home buyers will be waiting eagerly for that time, as Taman Bidara is a good place to live in.
