Saujana Impian is a mature township in Kajang, a town in the district capital of Hulu Langat, Selangor. This 243 hectares resort-themed township is located about 2 kilometres from Kajang town. The Impian Golf & Country Club is located within this township and there are a number of residential developments (townhouses and bungalows) within the Golf & Country Club as well. Analysis
Saujana Impian is geared towards being a self-contained and sustainable township. Significantly, the Greater KL MRT Project which is one of the key initiatives identified under the government's Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) will consist of 3 MRT lines. The Sg Buloh-Kajang MRT line will be the first of the 3 MRT lines planned and Saujana Impian will have the honor of hosting one of the stations along that line. Construction of the MRT Line 1 is to begin in July 2011. This project will not only open up jobs for the community but also provide commuters with alternative travel as traffic in and out of Kajang can be quite heavy. As a new development in the matured district of Kajang, Saujana Impian is quite a gem and a boost in property value even to the surrounding neighborhoods. Other neighboring communities are, Taman Melor, Taman Mesra, Taman Taming Impian, Taman Delima and much more. For property choices, there are plenty although much is geared towards upper-middle class society. But for those who love the area, one can purchase a home for RM232 psf which comes up to RM 290,000 for a 1,250sf double-storey terrace home. For a freehold landed property, located in a newly developed township is quite a good value. Development is still ongoing and new homes are being launched between RM338,000 - RM450,000 for double storey terraces and semi-detached units and bungalows from RM550,000 to RM956,000. One of the latest projects at Saujana Impian is a 37- luxury bungalow property called, Safira by Sime Darby. Saujana Impian is generally targeted at middle to higher income-earning residents.
