Taman Perkasa is considered one of the few residential areas that are not fully surrounded by concrete jungles. Some units do have the lush greenery as their backdrop which is a rare find in many townships nowadays. Most of the residents like it here due to the ‘Kampung’ feel which is very scarce nowadays. The traffic condition around the Hulu Langat area can be quite congested especially during rush or peak hours. Some residents here claimed that they take about 1 hour to commute to the city centre during rush hour.
