Ukay Heights is favored because of its location, which is nearby plenty of amenities and also just few kilometres away from Kuala Lumpur city centre. In spite of its location nearby the bustling city centre, the area is heavenly quite and cool being on the uphill in Ampang. It is also surrounded by lush greenery. There is a huge Chinese cemetery located in between of Ukay Heights and ISKL. As it is located on the west side of the neighborhood, it is an eye-sore for the bungalow residents neighboring the cemetery. There are series of landslides occurred nearby the area of Ukay Heights. These include the tragedy of Highland Towers, which one of the blocks collapsed in 1993 that killed 48 people. Other incidents were a bungalow collapsed in Taman Hillview in 2002, Kampung Pasir landslide in 2006, and Bukit Antarabangsa landslide in 2008. There are also reports and rumors saying that the soil in the area (including Ukay Heights) is not stable and dangerous for living.
