Taman Hillview is an established residential estate located in Ulu Klang (Ukay), Selangor. It is adjacent to Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and borders Melawati and Ampang. It neighbours Villa Sri Ukay, Taman Sri Ukay, and Beverly Heights. Taman Hillview is infamous for landslides tragedies. In 1970s, it was a popular housing estate for Western expatriates. Nowadays, there is still a number of expatriates, as well as local executives, living in the neighborhood. However, there is quite a number of vacant houses seen, mostly are near Highland Towers.Amenities can be easily found nearby Taman Hillview such as chapel, shopping centres and international schools. International schools nearby are Sri Inai KL, International School of Kuala Lumpur and Mutiara International Grammar School; while government schools nearby are SJK Stella Maris, SJK Keramat AU3, SMK Setiawangsa and SJK Taman Keramat. Having lush greenery as backdrop, the air here is fresh and breezy. Besides that, the area of Taman Hillview is also quiet and peaceful. Plus, some residents on higher ground enable to enjoy magnificent view of the city centre skyline. There are several tragedies happened in the enclave. On 11th December 1993, one of the Highland Towers collapsed that killed 48 lives. The remaining two blocks were evacuated for safety concern. The cause of the collapsed was due to improper construction of the pilings. Nine years after that (20th November 2002), a bungalow has collapsed that caused by landslide. The landslide was reportedly due to soil erosion. To prevent and overcome the landslide problem, authorities have built a wall against the hill and was completed in mid-2007. The construction works cost almost RM5 million.
