Quarza has been a rumor since the end of 2009. According to an article, it is scheduled for completion in 2012. However, until this date, Sime Darby has never launched this project or started the construction work. According to a latest article, its superstructure construction is scheduled to start in June 2011. And according to an article in The Edge (dated 14th January 2011), this development will be launched soon. Currently it is open for registration in the developer website. Melawati has been a huge and successful ground for Sime Darby over the years. Launched in 1993, its close proximity to the city centre (which is just 15 minutes away) has made it a popular choice for landed homes and office spaces. And over the years, due to rapid development in Melawati, it has become a self contained township. Adding with quite a number of new developments by Sime Darby (as well as other developers such as Sunway and Metro Kajang), including 3 Residen, Casa Rimba, Gaya, and Melawati Urban, this township is set to become a new urban enclave.
