Taman Tupai Mas is situated at the outskirts area of Taiping and is basically surrounded by cemeteries such as Taiping Hokkien cemetery and Prestavest Memorial Chinese cemetery. Those who are concerned over their homes being in close proximity to cemeteries might not like it here. There is also an issue on prostitution near some rented premises in Taman Tupai Mas and the local residents have also alerted the authorities by sending out an anonymous letter to the Taiping police chief and also a copy to the Perak chief police office. However, there were no actions taken and local residents were afraid to lodge a police report at the nearest police station for fear that the people behind the ‘China Dolls’ would threaten the local residents. The property prices in the area have not appreciate much since the past few years. You may find some units in the auction markets at the price region between RM75,000 to RM95,000.
