Taman Taiping is one of the oldest townships established in Taiping, Perak. It was once a small town but now the population within the township and the neighboring residential developments has been prospering over the years, thanks to recent developments such as Tesco hypermarket and other on-going residential areas around. Taman Taiping is situated just opposite of a cemetery. This might be a turn-off point for many locals especially the Chinese as they think that it is not auspicious for their home to be facing a cemetery all the time. However, not all units are facing the cemetery directly and so if you do not mind the cemetery view or the fact that the residential area is situated so near to the cemetery, it can be considered as a good deal as properties there are not as pricey as many other townships in Perak.Do keep in mind that many of the properties within Taman Taiping have shown its aging factor and the tear and wear can be quite obvious on many of the houses here. So if you are interested, do be prepared to have some money aside for renovation purposes as it might be tedious to have to go through renovations once you have settled down in your newly acquired home.
