Taman Saujana Jaya is a residential development less than 10 minutes away from Taiping town along Jalan Saujana Jaya. It is adjacent to Taiping Airport. Nearby facilities includes schools like SRJK Assam Kumbang, SM Darul Ridwan, SK Convent Aulong and SRJK Hua Lian, the Columbia Asia Hospital, night market, shops, petrol stations and places of worships. Lots of recreational activities can be enjoyed at the nearby Taiping Lake Gardens, Taiping Zoo & Night Safari or even a trip up Bukit Larut (formerly known as Maxwell Hill). For shopping, there are Taiping Sentral Mall, Tesco and Giant within walking distance from Taman Saujana Jaya. Towards the north west of Taman Saujana Jaya is Kawasan Perusahaan Kamunting Raya, an industrial park with quite a few huge factories and plants. Majority of these plants are in the mineral related industry for instance ceramic and pottery making factories, magnesium smelting plant and gloves making factory. Most often, residents of Taman Saujana Jaya uses the North South Expressway to travel to other towns and states. Alternatively, there is also the Taiping KTM station a short drive away towards town, which connects to other parts of Peninsular Malaysia by rail.

Taman Saujana Jaya is surrounded by other low rise residential development and lots of greenery. It is a peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of city living. Some house owners had even converted their home to become home-stays, to cater to the city visitors who come here either for a short getaway or a business trip. The fact that Taman Saujana Jaya is situated right next to the Taiping Airport may cause some to complain about noise pollution. But since air traffic is not heavy and that the airport can only accommodate Fokker planes, this should not be too much of a concern.
