Taman Jelutong is located amongst one of the most highly populated and high density areas, which causes a lot of problems in traffic. Motorists can usually expect Jalan Gelugor to be slightly congested throughout the day at various points of entry and exit. The traffic congestion however culminates during after work hours where the whole stretch of Jalan Gelugor is usually heavily congested.The neighbourhood of Taman Jelutong was targeted mainly towards the lower and lower middle income group. As such, buyers may expect to see many blue collared worker here as well as SME owners. The neighbourhood is also rather noisy and chaotic with the outer areas being a much visited commercial hub.Taman Jelutong does not appear to be much of a good investment even though it is freehold property, as homes here are not very highly sought after; perhaps due to the chaotic environment. As such, these homes are quite reasonably priced, and are easily affordable by first time home buyers who do not mind the noisy environment.
