According to the local community, it is normal for people in Bayan Lepas to spend their time and money eating, karaoke and bowling at Sunshine Square when people considering to avoid traffic congestion after work. The entertainment provided in the area serves the community a great deal of enjoyment during free times especially the weekends. However, there were comments about the poor service quality displayed by the staffs of the supermarket provided at the basement of Sunshine Square. Customers had complaint on how rude the workers in that zone responded towards any enquiries from the visitors. Moreover, the products sell at the supermarket are said to be of poor quality.
