    Mayang Apartment is one of the older developments in Penang that has enjoyed an increase in property value since the property boom on the island in the recent years. Development has been heavy, and residents have also been victims of the massive traffic congestion during peak hours, especially at the Jalan Tengah traffic lights which is the connecting main trunk road to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.The area surrounding Mayang Apartment is filled with educational hubs, business hubs and by other apartments such as the Kampung Gedung Apartment. As such, the neighbourhood is promised to always be busy with a 7 am wake up call from the neighbouring school bell and heavy traffic from the Caltex petrol station in front of the apartment. Those of the Malay nationality will however appreciate living opposite the surau, which is within minutes walking distance.Against all odds, Mayang Apartment which is a leasehold property is appearing to be a good investment. Prices of the apartment have been appreciating steadily despite its worn out exterior, probably due to its proximity to the only airport in the state, as well as its proximity to the city centre and its excellent location within easy reach of all amenities. Although it is a good investment, staying here may get a little noisy and hectic for those who prefer a peaceful day-to-day life.
