The Joint Management Body (JMB) of The Reef (called The Reef Apartments Management Corporation) is active and efficient. Just before the gymnasium is worn out, the JMB has relocated the gymnasium and refurbished some equipment. The JMB has also made an effort to install the boom gate. In addition, The Reef looks fresh and quite new as the building had a new coat of paint in early 2008 which was completed in early March. Even though the condominium has already passed 2 decades mark, it looks better than some residences in the area.Generally, The Seaview Wing units are facing the sea directly and enjoy unobstructed view of the beach and sea. On the other hand, the Landscape Wing units' sea view is blocked by Hydro Majestic Hotel. But, you can still see the sea from these Landscape Wing units. Even though The Reef is a beachfront residence, residents do not enjoy high privacy when strolling along the beach. This is because the beach in front of The Reef is one of main tourists’ beaches in Batu Ferringhi. Hence, the beach is normally crowded during the weekends and in the evening.
