Taman Seri Air Itam is located in the hill of Penang, and is connected to the city via the main trunk road of Jalan Air Itam, which is the only trunk road that connect residents to the rest of the island. As such, traffic is usually badly congested during weekdays during peak hours, starting from 5 pm onwards; especially at the Air Itam Roundabout.However, residents of Taman Seri Air Itam get to enjoy peace and quiet usually associated with holiday homes. The area is mainly populated by the Chinese nationality, and is packed with many other residential areas that lead all the way the hills. As such, many choose to stay here in spite of the place being slightly out of town.Taman Seri Air Itam may seem to some to be a good investment; however, the area that it is located in has not seen much spike in development since the property boom in Penang. It is however ideal as a first home for those on a budget and are looking for a relatively quiet place, as Taman Seri Air Itam is located not too far from the city, but is yet only minutes away.
