Desa Gemilang is a highly sought after apartment due to its easy accessibility and central location. These factors are, however, a drawback when it comes to traffic, as Jalan Air Itam is always congested during peak hours before and after work, as well as in the afternoons at approximately 12 pm. The congestion continues on the main road of Jalan Thean Tek, onto all the main roads of Penang to and fro the city.Residents of Desa Gemilang enjoy a relatively peaceful lifestyle, located amidst other housing developments with balconies overlooking landed houses and nature.
