Taman Sri Pinang is a housing development in the district of Port Dickson, within the state of Negeri Sembilan. Conveniently located half an hour away from the major city of Seremban and approximately an hour away from Kuala Lumpur, this housing estate is an ideal freehold home.Taman Sri Pinang is a housing estate that houses both landed properties and high rises, with most of the landed properties being terrace homes while the high rises are more of medium low cost developments targeted toward the lower and medium income group. The landed properties are affordable at selling prices starting from RM110,000 while the high rises are a bit pricier with starting prices of RM120,000.Being one of the older developments in Port Dickson, properties in Taman Sri Pinang are mainly pre-owned; hence, when buying a home here buyers will be able to select partially furnished homes if they wish. Most of the homes that are being sold partially furnished are mostly kitchen ready with hoods, hobs and kitchen cabinets. Taman Sri Pinang is a mostly safe place to live in despite the non-existence of gated and guarded communities as there have been no crime rate statistics here. However for the more paranoid ones there are the condominiums that provide 24-hour security and facilities such as covered parking lots which most of the landed properties have as well.Located in a very good location, Taman Sri Pinang is somewhat remote but peaceful for all that, with some of Port Dickson's most famous hotels just metres from their door such as Thistle Port Dickson hotel and Selesa Beach Resort which hosts the private man-made beach with beautiful smooth and white sand.Food is easy found near Taman Sri Pinang in form of Chinese seafood restaurants and Malay restaurants that offer an assorted array of roasted seafood such as the "ikan bakar". The closest shopping mall which is also a hypermarket is Giant which is at least 11 kilometres away while the nearest bank is Public Bank which is a mere 7 minutes drive away.Taman Sri Pinang is very easily accessible as it is just off the main road of Port Dickson, Jalan Pantai which connects to the Seremban - Port Dickson Highway and the North - South Highway, making travel to either Seremban or Kuala Lumpur easy. Interstate public transportation is available, however the town's public transport is sketchy; and being a remote area, it would be safer to own your own private vehicle.

Taman Sri Pinang is one of the many housing developments in Port Dickson. Fortunately the human density is on the low side despite the many homes, therefore traffic has never been an issue even during the holiday seasons or long weekends where many locals from Kuala Lumpur visit the sandy white beaches. The neighbourhood of Taman Sri Pinang is as small neighbourhoods usually are, warm and friendly. Safety is not much of an issue living here as crime rates in small towns such as Port Dickson are usually on the low side. As such there has never been a crime report in the papers of crime in the neighbourhood.Taman Sri Pinang may not be a good place to call home if one is coming here to look for a job, as job opportunities are on the low side. However this place would be excellent as a retirement home as it is always peaceful, quiet and serene. Investors who are interested in buying holiday homes to rent out on short term basis may find this area suitable as it is close to the beaches.
