Taman Samudera is one of the older housing developments in Port Dickson in the state of Negeri Sembilan. Located metres close to the sandy white beaches, this housing area is a mere half an hour away from the city of Seremban and one hour away from the busy city centre of Kuala Lumpur. Properties here are all leasehold which further adds to its value of being a beach fronting housing area.The Taman Samudera which is otherwise also known as Taman Samudra, was clearly targeted towards the middle upper market as the houses here are all double storey terrace houses. Taman Samudera is a very nice, quiet and peaceful housing estate to stay in and within walking distance to the beaches of Port Dickson. Residents here live a very peaceful life with no traffic congestion to contend with on a daily basis. In fact, traffic is always clear, even during peak seasons where throngs of local tourists visit the sandy white beaches of Port Dickson.Taman Samudera has an exclusive community in the sense that all the neighbours know each other due to the small community. The residents also live in peace as in spite of the lack of security, crime rate is still rather low with no reports in the news for any crimes.Houses in Taman Samudera are hard to come by as not many residents are willing to let go of their homes. However, lucky investors who are able to purchase a unit will be able to rent it out as a holiday home to the many tourists and visitors. Homes here are also suitable as retirement homes; however those who come here looking for job opportunities would do better to look closer to the city as work opportunities are on the slim side in this small town.
