Taman Semarak is a leasehold mixed development located in the town of Nilai, within the state of Negeri Sembilan. It sits on the borders of Selangor at approximately 40 minutes away to the city of Kuala Lumpur, and half an hour away from the city centre of Seremban. The Kuala Lumpur International Airport is only about 25 minutes away, whereby the government office hub of Putrajaya is about 30 minutes away.Taman Semarak consists mainly of low cost developments, which consist of low cost flats, 1-storey terrace houses and 2-storey terrace houses. Taman Semarak is one of the most well established housing development in Nilai with all the necessities. It is hence one of the most heavily populated areas as well, resulting in peak hour traffic congestion, which has only worsen after more people from Kuala Lumpur decided to live on the city's outskirts.Taman Semarak is mostly home to the lower and middle income group, hence new buyers can expect a number of blue collared workers and small business owners. The neighbourhood would also tend to get noisy in the evenings whenever there is a night market, or even during the day due to the many shops on the outskirts that cater to all walks of lives.Property in Nilai has recently in the last year seen an incline in prices due to the number of developments in the area now focused on the middle income group from Kuala Lumpur as well as investors. Taman Semarak does not however hold much appeal, as most of the homes are not very well cared for. It would however be an excellent home for those who like the liveliness of the neighbourhood, and are on a tight budget.
