Crime rate in the area is on a general low side, although there have been reports and complaints of snatch thefts occurring at the shop lot areas.Taman Melaka Baru does not promise so much as a long term investment, as the land here is leasehold. There are however many people who choose to obtain these properties and turn them into holiday homes due to their proximity to both the airports as well as the Melaka Sentral Bus Station.
