    Analysis

    For a first home buyer, 1 Petaling may seem like a good investment as it is close to Kuala Lumpur, Serdang, and Bukit Jalil which has many offices and universities in those areas. It is also a few minutes drive away from LRT stations which have ample parking spots, which will enable a first home buyer to zoom past the traffic into work. Another positive note is that it is close to Sri Petaling's Carrefour.On the other hand, 1 Petaling is right in between the two major highways of Lebuhraya Sungai Besi and the KL-Seremban Highway. This means that there will be major traffic congestion, may be very noisy, and it will be rather dusty.1 Petaling is being built next door to Petaling Indah, which was developed by Securiservices about 10 years ago. It is known that Petaling Indah's prices have not risen since the original launch back then, and Securiservices has not properly maintained the complex. It is thought that 1 Petaling may eventually also suffer the same fate, as they share the same developer.As a result, investing in 1 Petaling may not be an ideal investment, particularly as the price is rather expensive for the area. In addition, it seems to be more for homeowners rather than for rental purposes, as the rental fees are quite low here. However, if it suits your investment outlook, then you should definitely go ahead and buy it. Otherwise, there are better properties to invest in elsewhere.
