Danau Kota (also known as Platinum Lake City) is a matured and fast-growing leasehold township situated in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. The area is formerly a mining site which is the reason it is called 'Danau'.     Danau Kota has been developing rapidly over the years. The development of the many malls and residential development has definitely place Setapak or more specifically the enclave on the map and with the many on-going projects such as Columbia Asia Hospital, Tesco and also Parkson, property values around the area is expected to increase in the coming years. Danau Kota is now a densely populated residential and commercial zone and is also one of the crime hotspots now and residents are not happy with this. Apart from the social crimes, traffic congestion along the main road which is Jalan Genting Kelang has not been resolved over the years and now, with the increasing development along this busy road, traffic congestion has gone from bad to worse.
