Seputeh Gardens is a gated and guarded high-end residential development in Seputeh which is strategically located beside the heart of the city with Mid Valley being less than a kilometre away, yet retaining the aura of peace and serenity within the gated community. Within this residential area is 42 freehold bungalows developed by Planet Uno but conceptualized by the award winning developer, Gita Bayu. All units were completed in September 2011. In Seputeh Gardens, there are three very special units, each being one-of-a-kind; namely units B1, B2, and C. Every bungalow in the area is three-storeyed except one, the type C boasts four storeys with a built-up area of 8,845 sf. At the time of launch the Type A units could be snapped up for a little bit over RM 4 million, but since launch property prices have soared and the asking price for the units are hovering around RM 5.3 million. Overall, prices have inflated by about 15%.The entire project of Seputeh Gardens was built on elavated land. Each and every one of the 42 units built is located about a meter higher than its neighbour and it is aptly designed to avoid a barrack-style straight line found in most housing areas. It is nestled between a golf course and lush greenery, and the result is simply a quiet, serene neighbourhood, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Living area within the bungalows of Seputeh Gardens is visually pleasant as it comes with a double volume ceiling. All bedrooms come with en-suite baths and lap pools are available in all units along with a good sized porch for 3-5 cars. Tranquillity, peace and serenity are the words that come to mind when greeted by the masterfully landscaped surroundings. Furthermore, a landscaped park with undulating terrain equipped with a play area for children coupled with a sitting area for residents is located at the center of the development. One would be able to enjoy the serenity in peace as all homes are fully secured with boundary walls, security control intercommunication and 24-hour patrol. A jogging track within the gated walls is available so that residents can enjoy a run while enjoying mother nature's grace. Barbecue pits are available as well, ideal for family get togethers. The Armed Forces Golf Club is also nearby should any of the residents want to tee-off without wading too far away from the serenity.Seputeh Gardens is within walking distance from the Seputeh KTM Station which is one stop away from KL Sentral; and through KL Sentral one can easily access a multitude of places via LRT, RapidTransit and KLIA is a 28 minute train ride away. Seputeh Gardens is minutes away from Mid Valley Shopping Mall, Bangsar and the amenities offered by Kuala Lumpur City itself are within comfortable driving range. Located directly at the heart of KL, the area intersects several major highways such as the Federal Highway, the New Pantai Expressway, KL-Seremban Highway and the Sprint Highway. One would be hard pressed to find a development that is as prestigious and better situated than Seputeh Gardens.

  • Analysis

The units were carefully designed by the man spearheading the development; the managing director for Planet Uno and renowned architect, Liew Tze Yong. He made a name for himself with Bukit Gita Bayu (also known as Windsong Heights) which won Fiabci’s best residential development award. He is also responsible for obtaining Fiabci’s best commercial building award for Hong Leong Bank’s HQ in 1995. Liew is fairly well known in the development scene having made his name with Bukit Gita Bayu. He is also known to mean business when it comes to taking care of his developments, having taken some residents to court for refusing to pay maintenance fees, and won.
