The closest shopping centre is Mutiara Complex that is only 5 minutes away, while the closest medical healthcare institution is is the Kuala Lumpur Hospital that is only 10 minutes away. Local banking facilities are located within short walking distances of the houses, while schools are aplenty within short driving distances. Taman Segambut has very good connectivity to major trunk roads as well as highways. It sits just off Jalan Segambut and Jalan Kuching, both of which provide excellent routes to Jalan Duta which in turn connects to the Duta - Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) and Jalan Ipoh. Public transportation is very convenient with the Segambut Commuter Station being only 5 minutes away.

    Taman Segambut is undoubtedly one of the better located residential areas in Kuala Lumpur, with its proximity to the city centre as well as upscale areas such as Mont Kiara. Residents do however experience extremely bad traffic congestion on a daily basis due to the many much travelled highways and trunk roads in the area. The worst affected roads are usually Jalan Segambut and Jalan Kuching.The neighbourhood of Taman Segambut is one that is mostly tenanted by the Chinese population. The area is considered by many to be slightly backwater with its old fashioned designed homes and narrow streets. The area is not considered to be a very safe one with many residents complaining of snatch thefts within the very housing area itself as well as car thefts.Although located in a very good area, not many people would consider the Taman Segambut area to be a good investment, as the land here is leasehold. It is however a very good area to live in if one does not mind the traffic congestion, as it is very centrally located with extremely good connectivity to many highways and trunk roads.

    毋庸置疑地,Taman Segambut 是吉隆坡一个地理位置不俗的住宅区,因它靠近市中心和高档区满家乐(Mont Kiara)。惟住户每天都需面对塞车困扰,因此区附近环绕着多条高车流量的大道和道路,塞车情况最恶劣的应属Jalan Segambut和Jalan Kuching。Taman Segambut是其中一个最多华裔居住的小区,由于房子设计老旧且道路狭窄,故很多人来说,此区毫无生气,有点死气沉沉。另外,它的治安也不算好,许多住户投诉说在住宅区内遇到攫夺匪徒,且也有发生汽车偷窃事件。虽然坐落在一个很好的地区,可不多人会将Taman Segambut与好投资项目挂钩,因为此区的地段持有租赁地契而已。若你不介意恼人的交通堵塞状况,其实它是个不错的居住地点,因为衔接多条主要大道和道路,交通四通八达。
