There were cases at Taman Ehsan whereby residents have been complaining for over a decade, regarding the lack of streetlight in the area. Residents were worried as accidents might easily happen because the area is so dark. Residents have complained to the Selayang Municipal Council regarding this issue but the problem was not solved. Another case in Taman Ehsan involves a vacant house whereby residents who are staying next to a vacant house have complained numerous times over the vacant house which is now left to rot. They have urged the Selayang Municipal Council regarding this issue and whenever they file complaints, the council workers would just clean the place up and then leave it as it is. Residents next to the vacant lot are worried that the unit will be breeding grounds for mosquitoes and the water that is leaking from the vacant unit is affecting her bedroom wall. There has also been suggestion from the Federal Territory Gerakan to extend the MRT system to Kepong due to the heavy traffic in that area. They are proposing a sub-line from Bukit Bintang to Kepong connecting Taman Ehsan, Jinjang and Taman Desa Jaya. There have been no decisions on whether this proposal will be granted yet.
