Taman Nanyang a small freehold housing development located in the town of Jinjang within Kepong, in the state of Kuala Lumpur. The city centre is located approximately 15 minutes away, while Bangsar and Mont Kiara is only 20 minutes away. Petaling Jaya is approximately 25 minutes away, while the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is about an hour away.The houses in Taman Nanyang are either single storey or double storey terrace houses of various sizes. The built-ups of these homes range between 1,400 sf and 2,800 sf, housing either 3 or 4 bedrooms. Prices of these homes are fairly reasonable for their location at between RM570,000 and RM720,000, although more affordable ones can be found on the auction market from prices of RM500,000 onwards.One of the biggest benefits of buying second hand homes include getting fully renovated homes and partially furnished and designed homes. These are benefits that buyers of homes in Taman Nanyang will enjoy as it is a very well established and fully tenanted neighbourhood. Kitchen cabinets will already be built-in, whilst fan and light fixings will not present any problems.Due to Taman Nanyang being located within in a purely residential area, residents do not enjoy any neighbourhood facilities aside from the Wahyu Lake that is shared by all the neighbouring developments. There is however a very nearby primary school within walking distance by the name of SJKC Jinjang Utara.The closest shopping centre to Taman Nanyang is the Metro Prima Jusco located just 10 minutes away, where they offer boutiques, a supermarket and a range of franchise restaurants. Aside from the Chinese primary school nearby, there are also many other primary and secondary schools in the area within short driving distance. Banking facilities are plentiful nearby as well, while the Kuala Lumpur Hospital is less than 15 minutes away.Taman Nanyang is well connected via many major trunk roads such as Jalan Kepong which connects to Jalan Ipoh and Jalan Duta, as well as to major highways such as the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and the Duta - Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) just a short distance away. The closest public transport service is a 10 minutes drive away at the Taman Wahyu KTM Station.

    Taman Nanyang enjoys excellent connectivity, an advantage that is shared by the many housing developments in this rather dense area. As such, traffic congestion is never-ending affair on a daily basis. Jalan Kepong is generally extremely affected by this issue during peak hours, with Jalan Ipoh being the most congested access road to the area while the DUKE highway offers the least congested access route.The neighbourhood in Taman Nanyang and its surrounding area consists mainly of the Chinese population. With the area being rather an old one, roads here are generally quite narrow. There have also been much resident complaints regarding the Taman Beringin landfill that is just a short distance from the housing developments. As with the many dirty and messy issues of current affairs, nothing has been done about the complaints as of yet.Many investors would nevertheless still consider the area around Taman Nanyang to be a good investment, as can be seen from the new developments in the area in form of Laman Residen and KiPark Sri Utara just across the lake from Taman Nanyang. Many buyers find the area an excellent place for a permanent home as they are close to all the neighbouring cities and towns, as well as major highways.
