Taman Eastern is a freehold housing development located along the famous and popular bridal street of Jalan Ipoh in Kuala Lumpur. It is strategically located at only 10 minutes away from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, while high end areas such as Bangsar and Mont Kiara are equally as near at only 15 minutes away. Petaling Jaya is about 25 minutes away, while the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is approximately 50 minutes away.The houses in Taman Eastern consists primarily of double storey terrace houses. Designed for a typical family, each unit ranges between 1,650 sf and 2,075 sf, with many being modified to cater to multigenerational families with 6 bedrooms. Prices of the houses here are nevertheless reasonable despite its size and location at between RM670,000 and RM900,000.Being a highly popular and highly populated area, all the houses in Taman Eastern are fully tenanted. Very few units make their way to the market, and those that do are usually partially furnished or fully furnished. The common furnishings are built-in kitchen cabinets and curtain railings, while many of them have extended kitchens.Taman Eastern is mainly a residential area with no commercial activities nearby, and residents do not enjoy much in terms of facilities either. Located in the next door neighbourhood is a church within short walking distance, while on the corner of the neighbourhood is a large parking lot that caters to the nearby train station.Residents of Taman Eastern however enjoy excellent amenities, as lining the roads of Jalan Ipoh are many petrol stations, popular eateries and restaurants as well as a post office and various mini marts. Further up the street of Jalan Ipoh is what is popularly known as the bridal street, while within just a short drive is Mutiara Complex which serves as the local shopping mall. Schools are plentiful in the area while the Kuala Lumpur Hospital is only 10 minutes away.Due to their excellent location, residents of Taman Eastern enjoy excellent connectivity to many major highways via Jalan Ipoh. Access to the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) is less than 10 minutes away, while access to the Duta - Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) is only 15 minutes away. Even public transportation is very convenient with the Batu Kentonmen KTM Station within short walking distance of the houses.

    Taman Eastern is a very highly sought after housing development due to its very central location close to the city centre. Residents do however suffer very much from traffic congestion, as Jalan Ipoh is a very much travelled trunk road as it accesses many highways. As such, peak hours are a nightmare and residents may expect to be stuck in traffic congestion for ages on end after working hours.The neighbourhood of Taman Eastern is very much populated by the Chinese, as Jalan Ipoh and the surrounding area has always been a popular Chinese area. The neighbourhood of Jalan Ipoh is however on the seedy side after dark, and over the years there have been much complaints of snatch thefts and house break-ins.Despite the area's opined shadiness, Taman Eastern is nevertheless considered by many to be an excellent investment opportunity due to the highly limited amount of freehold landed property that is centrally located that close to the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Obtaining a unit here will however be quite tough as the longstanding residents of the area part with their homes only very unwillingly.

    Taman Eastern坐落首都中部位置,因此成为房产界抢手对象,惟车流量较为拥挤,因为Jalan Ipoh是通往很多条高速公路的要道,在繁忙时间这里简直是水泄不通。周边的住宅区都以华裔居民为主,治安情况一般,经常有居民投诉发生攫夺案或破门行窃案。尽管如此,这里仍是不错的投资选择,因为首都市中心拥有永久产权的房子越来越难找,因此本区房子还是有市有价,甚至是一屋难求,因为多数的居民都是住在这里几十年的本地人。
