Taman Desa Cemerlang is a very lively neighbourhood, central to all necessities and amenities. As such, the traffic which is usually smooth flowing in the day can turn quite daunting during peak hours when the access road to the neighbourhood, Jalan Tanjong, becomes quite congested while parts of the main trunk road Jalan Kota Tinggi can come to an absolute standstill.Traffic aside, Taman Desa Cemerlang is a fairly pleasant neighbourhood to live in, where residents here come from all walks of lives, although mostly from the middle income group. Although the residential area is quite safe, the commercial area on the outskirts can be slightly scary, with stolen lorries; and fascinatingly; a one time occurrence of a stolen ATM machine from the bank.Taman Desa Cemerlang would appear to some to be a good investment due to its freehold title and central location to all amenities, however its price appreciation has not been big, which might be caused by its distance from the city centre of Johor Bahru. However, Taman Desa Cemerlang would be an option for those who need an affordable permanent home.
