It is centrally located within two minutes of the town, approximately half an hour away from the state capital Johor Bahru as well as the Malaysia - Singapore checkpoint. The Senai International Airport is fairly near at only 15 minutes away.Most of the houses in Taman Kulai Besar consist of double storey terrace houses of fairly large and spacious built-ups. Public transportation is quite convenient as the main bus depot, Kulai Bus Station is only four minutes away by car, an otherwise 15-minute walk. There are no train stations nearby.

Kulai is a very well located place for those who travel travel often or work in the Senai International Airport, as it is convenient to get to the airport from there. As such, even being a small town, traffic congestion is something that can be expected during peak hours. Traffic is usually slow on short stretches of the main trunk road Jalan Besar, where the congestion is concentrated on areas with slip roads.Taman Kulai Besar is a very old housing development, and as expected many of the residents here are old-timers with families. As such, newcomers can expect a warm welcome from friendly neighbours, in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. Crime rate is more or less non-existent with no complaints from residents to date.Taman Kulai Besar is a fine place to live in when relocated or perhaps even as a retirement home for those who love the peace and quiet. It however does not seem to be a good place for investment despite its freehold title, as besides the fact that it is nowhere near the border, it is also located relatively far from the city.
