Marina Island is a pristine island located in the vicinity of Pulau Pangkor, Perak. Marina Sanctuary Resort was given the right to reclaim the island in the year 1999. However, after further discussion, the developer only managed to start reclaiming the island in the year 2003. Besides being just a regular township, Marina Island is expected to be a tourist destination in its own and it is expected to reduce the jetty ride to Pangkor Island from 40 minutes to merely 10 minutes. Rather than being build to rival the existing island, Marina Island is set to complement the island by providing world-class facilities. Marina Island comes with numerous plans which is yet to be implemented and among the development which might took place in this island are residential area, villa / bungalow, condominium, semi detached, terrace and serviced apartment. At the moment, three of the residences in Marina Island have been launched. Two of the projects are completed and the third one is still under construction. Laguna 1 @ Marina Island is a serviced apartment which was completed in the year 2008 and a total of 170 units were offered in this residence. Laguna 2 @ Marina Island was launched later and was completed at the the end of 2013. This residence offers a sum of 204 units of vacation apartment. Meanwhile, Tiara Bay @ Marina Island is an exclusive bungalow and terrace development which are scheduled for completion by 2017. The entire Marina Island is designed in a specific way to reduce erosion and the 43 acres of man made lagoon, together with a stretch of man made white sand beach should be something which is not to be missed by investors. Marina Island is only two hours drive from Kuala Lumpur via the North - South Highway.

    Marina Island is a master plan of the Marina Sanctuary Resort, the developer who reclaimed the entire island in 2003. Within a short period of the development, the capital appreciation of the properties in Marina Island has began to increase. Laguna 1 was launched with a price of RM157,800 and a similar unit was launched in Laguna 2 with a price of RM333,000. Currently the subsale price of these properties at Marina Island have doubled as more people are investing in this property. Within eight months of launch, the developer have managed to get a gross development value of RM65 million.
