Sri Pinang Villa is located at a very convenient area with many amenities within mere walking distance from the apartment. However, the apartment is surrounded by several low cost residential developments and there is a concern over crime rates around the area. There have been complaints of the crime rate at a high in areas of Taman Cempaka in year 2009 and that residents have been a target for criminals especially during festive seasons. Complaints regarding break-ins, car theft and snatch thief were on the rise despite having patrol polices around the area quite often. Residents have urged police to keep a closer eye for fear of their own safety.
