Episode 8 of Beautiful Space (season 2) launches today exclusively at StarProperty.my.
The popular and runaway favourite online series, hosted by Malaysia’s design king Eric Leong, focuses on architectural features and interior design aspects of premium hotels and resorts in Thailand.
In episode 8 of the season, Eric examines the fashionable interiors of Dream Bangkok, an edgy boutique hotel with an haute-couture theme. Eric examines the ultra-luxurious dwellings of the hotel and provides viewers with the usual blend of inspiring tips and helpful interior design ideas.
High fashion meets Pop art
In this episode Eric visits Dream Bangkok, a fabulous haute-couture 5-star experience located in the heart of Sukhumvit Soi 15, Bangkok city. Dream Bangkok is conveniently situated within the vicinity of the capital's hottest nightspots and shopping destinations and is a member of the 'Preferred Boutique Hotel' group.
With designs comprising of a blend of ancient Siam-meets-modernity, this boutique hotel features 195 rooms and each is detailed with a touch of cosmopolitan chic and tranquility. A unique feature of this hotel is that all rooms have blue therapy lights - this source of lighting is said to be able to foster a good night’s sleep.
Guests are also able to savour tantalizing Thai and Western cuisines at FLAVA and FLAVA Lite, an eclectic lounge and restaurant at Dream Hotel.
This week, Eric shares with us about the importance of floor-to-ceiling curtains to provide a room or area with a punch of visual impact. These types of curtains can also enhance the interior style of a room.
Going regional
After making his name in his homeland, Eric, who is best known for his makeover television shows such as Casa Impian and Deko Bersama Eric, is all set to conquer the regional market.
Riding on the growing popularity of the Internet in this region, Eric believes Beautiful Space will be the right platform for him to up his game. Highlighting the advanced architecture and design of Southeast Asia is his goal.
His first stop is Thailand. With the support from Tourism Authority of Thailand, Eric is adamant that the show would be a favourite among the Southeast Asians and travelers alike. He also believes that the show is a perfect platform to lend some support to the country whose image was damaged following a political turmoil recently.
