Colourful and modern living in the heart of Bangkok city
In this episode, Eric visits VIE Hotel Bangkok; Accor’s first MGallery hotel in Asia. Located at the heart of Bangkok, this exclusive boutique hotel was voted as the trendiest hotel in Asia by Tripadvisor, Best Urban Hotel by Wotif.com as well as Best Newcomer Hotel by Anywhere Travel awards 2009. Featuring 154 exquisitely designed and spacious rooms and suites, VIE Hotel certainly offers both luxury and refinement for discerning guests.
Eric zooms in to VIE Hotel’s duplex suite; one of the most luxurious suites in Bangkok. The duplex suite caters for a luxurious city living, complete with a “Home Away from Home” concept. The suite consists of a dining area, living area, kitchenette, and also a guest room at the lower floor and a master bedroom and study area at the top floor.
Eric also mentions that the full length customised television cabinet in the living area helps create a visual impact for the suites. Guests of the duplex suites can enjoy the spectacular city skyline view through the aesthetically designed full-height glass windows. Eric explains that double volume ceiling, combined with full height glass panels make the suites eco-friendly and feel spacious. Glass panels are a great way of letting in natural light into desired spaces.

Going regional
After making his name in his homeland, Eric, who is best known for his makeover television shows such as Casa Impian and Deko Bersama Eric, is all set to conquer the regional market.
Riding on the growing popularity of the Internet in this region, Eric believes Beautiful Space will be the right platform for him to up his game. Highlighting the advanced architecture and design of Southeast Asia is his goal.
His first stop is Thailand. With the support from Tourism Authority of Thailand, Eric is adamant that the show would be a favourite among the Southeast Asians and travelers alike. He also believes that the show is a perfect platform to lend some support to the country whose image was damaged following a political turmoil recently.
