Since its official opening in January 2005, Tiara Beach Resort have registered over 1.5 million guests and visitors, making it one of the most sought after holiday destinations in Port Dickson.
Recently, the resort added another feather to its cap when it bagged the Best Corporate Family Day Destination 2009 - for the second consecutive year.
Resort general manager Kelvin Cheong and senior manager (events and branding) Danny Tan received the award from Tourism Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Abdul Ghafar A Thambi recently.
Also present were Negri Sembilan Tourism, Culture, Arts, Heritage and Unity Committee chairman Mohammad Razi Kail, Libur magazine editor Azlie Halim and Karangkraf Group executive publisher Firdaus Hussamuddin.
”This category is one that we aspire to win and we are thankful to the Government and corporate sector for choosing us as their preferred venue for family days,” Cheong said.
Cheong said there would be a back-to-back celebrations with employees as the hotel’s Anna Thai restaurant was also voted the best food outlet in Negri Sembilan for 2009 recently.
”Both wins are testament to the skills of the whole team in meeting the needs and expectations of our guests.
”Once an award is in the bag, it is much easier to lose it than to hold on to it,” he said, adding that the Libur Excellence Awards was the benchmark within the hospitality industry which helped to promote a healthy competition among resorts and hospitality properties.
The awards are an initiative by the Karangkraf Group recognising popularity, excellence and distinction in national tourist destinations.
