JOHOR BARU: Revel in a month of festivities with Country Garden as they bring entertainment, food and fun to Danga Bay in conjunction with the launch of its multi-billion ringgit integrated development here.
The RM150mil-Universal Carnival kicks off on Aug 11 until Sept 10, was to create hype for the project and to let visitors have a taste of what the development would be like once it is completed in 2017, said Country Garden Properties (M) Sdn Bhd regional president Kayson Yuen.
He said that the carnival includes high-end clubhouses, three main commercial streets with different themes, luxurious model homes, infinity pool, landscaped sky gardens.
“Not only that, visitors could make a splash at their artificial beach, private marina and also take part in water activities such as beach sports and bon fire.
“Through this carnival, visitors will understand better what Country Garden is about as we aim to provide a one-phase development and place emphasis on our facilities,” he said during the soft launch of the project in Danga Bay here.
He said that the Country Garden Danga Bay project covers a construction area of about 6ha of commercial centre and commercial themed streets namely Commercial Street, Fashion Street and Bar Street after Hong Kong’s famed Lan Kwai Fong pub and bar street.
“Once visitors go through the entrance, they will be greeted by a 3.6m high and 24m long scenery wall, costing RM500,000, which was manually built in three months,” he said, adding that there would also be an Euro Fun Park with roller coaster rides, child rides, bumper cars and clown entertainers to complete the fun fair experience.
The developers are also bringing Singapore Mediacorp stars Zoe Tay, Chen Han Wei, Jesseca Liu, Edmund Chen, Kym Ng, and Pornsak as guest celebrities to add to the festivities.
“We want to make the carnival as fun as possible with programmes lined up such as fireworks display, our own Samba Oktoberfest, Lego Festival, Southeast Asia Volleyball Tournament, Brazilian Samba Parade while taking a look at our sample units and stores at the venue,” he said.
Admission for the carnival is free and there would also be free shuttle buses provided in Johor Baru, Batu Pahat, Kota Tinggi, Kluang and Singapore twice a day.
