PETALING JAYA: BON Estates held its Chinese New Year celebration with its growing community at the Bon Estates Gallery, Bangsar recently.

The activities held during the celebration paid tribute to the elements of nature namely, Wood, Water, Earth, Metal and Fire.

The activity of writing Chinese calligraphy on a large paper parchment paid tribute to the element of Wood, the flower reading tutorial by Soleil Trinity paid tribute to the element of Water and the ‘Grow your Own Edible Garden’ workshop paid tribute to the element of Earth.

The element of Metal was shown respect through the generation of energy using the Hamster Wheel Run while the 24 festive drums performance by University Malaya students paid tribute to the element of Fire.

The celebration was also made merrier by the ‘Build your Own Oats Jar’ workshop conducted by Bon Estates in-house cafe The Good Co.

According to statement, BON Estates managing director Goh Soo Sing said the celebration provided an opportunity to share a spirit of harmony with the community.

“Overall, we hope the message our guests took home was that we strongly believe in a healthy, sustainable and balanced living culture. I also hope that we provided many happy memories and meaningful memorabilia to take home with them,” said Goh.

A house is a pillar of strength that unites the family, and this collective unit forms the backbone that defines the nation. Since the end of WWII and the beginning of our nation’s independence, the concept of housing has evolved over the years. From the emphasis on practicality and functionality, today's developments amalgamate the concept of living, accessibility, space and functionality into a harmonious union.
