As ancient Chinese discipline that exists for thousands of years, Feng Shui remains a mysterious subject that is also highly interwoven into our daily lives. Getting the right answer is crucial to align the Feng Shui in our home and our life. This week, Soleil Trinity Resource founder Jessie Lee answers queries regarding Feng Shui.
Q: How can I use Feng Shui in my office as the office usually has predetermined spaces?
A: We should strive to do as much as we can, in this case. In Feng Shui, we have the external (macro) Feng Shui and the internal (micro) Feng Shui. Under the circumstances that you are not able to make drastic changes at your work space, you should make possible changes within your area.
Be aware of the direction of the incoming Qi. Do not place your desk facing away from the door. The incoming Qi passes through your door, and hence you should directly face your door. As Qi is continuously moving, facing away from the Qi will leave you in an unrest position. On the other hand, facing the door and the incoming Qi, you will feel restful and peaceful.
Always keep in mind that you do not have to spend thousands of ringgits for Feng Shui. All you need to do is to start with essential elements such as the position of your desk and make the necessary changes to enhance your office Feng Shui.
