Cybercity now host to 512 companies

CYBERJAYA is moving towards becoming a leading multimedia hub with integrated infrastructure and IT systems as well as an efficient transportation system.

According to Cyberview Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Redza Rafiq, the major issues they were tackling include improving the public transport system, identifying key economic activities that companies in Cyberjaya could undertake and incorporating multi-use areas into development plans.

“Cyberjaya’s development is driven by hard infrastructure and real estate. Cyberview has taken this factor into consideration when managing Cyberjaya and has implemented several initiatives in this intelligent city,’’ added Redza.

He said since 1996, Cyberjaya had evolved as Cyberview had taken the lead in promoting development, business and community activities in the city.

Redza added that today, the cybercity was host to 512 companies, 35 of them are MNCs as well as 4,777 local organisations and boasts a growing population of about 37,000.
