Property Fair draws the crowds

The Star Property Fair 2009 in KL

THE Star Property Fair 2009 Kuala Lumpur with the theme Stylish Living attracted a big turnout of housebuyers yesterday at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Many visited the exhibition to view the latest offerings by 29 property and real estate developers, home specialists and financial institutions in 103 booths.

Star Publications (M) Bhd group managing director and chief executive officer Datin Linda Ngiam said this was the first time The Star was organising the property fair in Kuala Lumpur after eight successful years in Penang.

“We expect the fair to draw 20,000 to 30,000 visitors over the three days,” she said.

At the fair, homebuyers also can take part in other activities such as Property Mart - Mega Auction, talks and forum sessions by industry experts and celebrities.

There was also a contest open to all visitors throughout the three days.

Prizes include washing machines, air-conditioners and refrigerators, which sponsored by Samsung.

Prizes are drawn daily during the fair at 7pm and the winners will be posted on The Star Property portal by 9pm.

Major property exhibitors at the fair including SP Setia Bhd, Sime Darby Bhd, DutaLand Bhd, Mah Sing Group Bhd, Dijaya Corp Bhd, Sunrise Bhd and Sunway City Bhd.
