BUYERS of Paramount View condominium can expect to move in by the end of the year now that the issues surrounding the project are finally being resolved.
The 233-unit condominium in SS1, Petaling Jaya, was completed in May 2009 but buyers could not move in because residents in the area had protested against the use of several roads as access routes to the property.
Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lau Weng San said the developers were settling the access road problem and rectifying the damage at the neighbouring low-cost flats.
He said the developer was also negotiating with several houseowners in the area to repair their houses that were damaged during the construction of the condominium block.
He was speaking to reporters at a press conference to announce the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration organised by his service centre.
Petaling Jaya residents can join in the celebration at the Taman Aman basketball court in Section 22 tomorrow at 7pm.
“We are organising this in the spirit of community relations and goodwill. I encourage people of all races from the Kampung Tunku constituency to join in,” said Lau at his service centre in Section 21 yesterday.
He said he would be inviting residents of several old folks’ homes, orphanages and NGOs to join in the event.
There will be performances and halal food will be served.
