Steam cleaners generate interest

FOLLOWING the recent Influenza A(H1N1) threat, Spring Delights Sdn Bhd has seen renewed interest in the sales of its Karcher Steam Cleaner.

Spring Delights managing director Peter Lean said the cleaner with a two-tank system boasts of non-stop cleaning using steam heated to 145ºC.

“The hot steam kills bacteria, cleans and degreases without the need for detergents and disinfectants,” he said.

Lean said the cleaner could be used on various surfaces.

“You can use it with the accessories to mop floors, clean tiles and joints, disinfect bathroom fixtures, clean the oven and stove top, disinfect toys, clean upholstery, doors and windows, and even remove dust from real and artificial plants.

“Some of my customers even use it to clean their wet shoes - which I had never thought of doing before,” he said, adding that the cleaner came with a steaming and ironing add-on option.

The cleaner and Karcher’s AquaSelect water-filter vacuum system will be showcased at The Star Property Fair 2009.

Lean said the company was offering special rebates of RM300 for the vacuum cleaner and RM250 for the steam cleaner just for the fair.
