THE Tourism Ministry will promote i-City — the City of Lights — in Shah ALam as one of the tourism destinations in Malaysia.

Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said she would send her officers in charge of promotion to check out the beauty of i-City.

i-City, a retail and commercial hub with advanced information-communication infrastructure in Section 8, has installed millions of LED lights to brighten up the night.

Dr Ng urged the management of i-City to open more facilities so that visitors could enjoy various entertainment besides admiring the dazzling light showcase.

“I-City has a creative and innovative way to brighten up the atmosphere. The place looks attractive at night,” she said.

Currently, CityPark at i-City is all lit up with the latest digital lighting technology set against lush greens and pretty Chinese cherry blossoms, signifying life and rebirth. To usher in the Year of the Tiger, there are Oriental displays of lanterns and glittering lights all over i-City .
