Mayor: No nod for Bukit Damansara project yet
The proposed development in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, has not been approved because the amended plans have not been submitted, said Kuala Lumpur mayor Tan Sri Ahmad Fuad Ismail.
Fuad said the amended plans had to comply with the requirements of the one-stop centre technical committee.
Some of the requirements include plot ratio, height of building and 10% open space.
The developer has to also improve the facade, contribute to the cost of the existing infrastructure and use Jalan Beringin as the exit and entry road while the inner road has to be at the same level of the development.
“We have to take into consideration the proposed MRT line in the area, so we have to provide more parking space.
“The surrounding development and existing plot ratio has to be taken into consideration,” he said.
Fuad said although the plot ratio in the Draft Kuala Lumpur City Plan 2020 was less, there was bound to be changes as it had yet to be gazetted.
The Bukit Damansara House Owners Association, Kuala Lumpur, is planning a peaceful protest against the proposed plan.
Its president, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, said they were disappointed with the developer and City Hall because the proposed development would alter the plot ratio of Damansara Heights.
Originally the plan for the area was two blocks of 25 -storey service apartments with 406 units.
