All divisions boost Gamuda profit
PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended April 30, 2011 surged 40% to RM116.63mil from RM83.53mil previously due to higher contributions from all its divisions.
Revenue increased to RM621.2mil from RM511.2mil previously.
For the nine-month period ended April 30, net profit was up to RM299.19mil from RM236.19mil previously. Revenue increased to RM1.86bil from RM1.74bil a year earlier.
On its prospects, Gamuda said that with the existing construction projects progressing on schedule and the strong performance of the property division, its results were expected to further improve in the remaining quarter of the current financial year.
In a separate statement, Gamuda announced a second interim tax-exempt dividend of 6 sen per share single-tier.
