Business opportunities await

THIS July, the Modern Home & Lifestyle Fair will return in its eighth edition and promises to be better and brighter.

The fair, from July 17 to 19 at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, covers a wide exhibit profile of home and lifestyle products and services. Occupying the entire floor space of Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, it features over 300 booths in three halls and the atrium.

Despite the economic downturn, organisers BW Cyans Advertising believes there is no better time than now for companies to continue to promote their products and services.

''Companies and marketing people should not cut back on their A&P budget which includes roadshows, exhibitions and advertisements. On the contrary, they should re-package their products as attractive 'low packages' and promote them well in order to maintain their sales target when times are bad,'' says BW Cyans Advertising managing director Charles Yong.

Modern Home & Lifestyle Fair's March edition drew 50,000 visitors over three days.

Many of those participating in the fair enjoyed good sales — an indication that the global economic downturn has not completely affected all local businesses.

Yong says: ''During bad times most people shop at places where they'll find great savings. Hence, this fair is a 'win-win situation' for both exhibitors and shoppers.''

There will be a lucky draw with grand prizes totalling RM11,000 in cash and daily prizes sponsored by various exhibitors for purchases made during the fair. The official acquiring bank for the fair is EON Bank Group.

The exhibit profile includes home categories such as home furnishings and fittings; kitchen and bathroom; floor, door and window; home entertainment; home decorative items; renovation and refurbishment; garden, outdoor and related home essentials, as well as modern lifestyle categories including health, wellness and beauty; home IT and electronic gadgets. The Modern Property category will also be featured.

Shell scheme booths and raw space are still available for booking.
