“Window dressing” for a fashionable home
There are many ways to decorate and furnish your home. Here’s one decor suggestion that could lend the “wow” factor to your home. It is called... curtains. Curtains are usually made from material such as cotton and polyester. Often, they are soft and are often placed in different areas of your home, such as doors, windows and even in your shower. They don’t just add to the decor but also acts as a good thermal insulator, keeping your home cool during a hot day.

For your consideration...
Choose the curtain that is in harmony with your home. For example, if you have a large window in your dining room, you might consider buying curtains that reach the floor. However, curtains might not be as suitable for the smaller windows. In this case, you might consider buying Roman blinds or roller blinds. You also need to know which areas of your house gets the most sun, because constant exposure to sunlight will cause the curtains to fade.
If the overall tone of the room is dark, try hanging brighter-coloured curtains to complement the room’s tone. Besides the curtains’ colour, you may also want to look at the patterns to complement the overall look of your room. Choose smaller patterns for small rooms .You can also add details by using ribbons to tie your curtains to the sides.
Curtain rods and pleat
You also need to consider the type of rod that is suitable for your curtain. For example, you would need brass curtain rods to hold heavy curtains that reach the floor. Box pleat is a rectangular-shaped pleat that is suitable for heavy curtain fabrics. Another popular pleat is the pencil pleat, which gives a more formal and neat look.
If you do not want to go through the hassle of installing the curtains yourself, Baagus can help you install the curtains via their made-to-order services.

Handle with care
According to Baagus fashionable window dressing creative director Christy Wong, it is important to care for your curtains. It is best to hand-wash your curtains and leave it to dry, rather than washing and drying it in a machine because that can cause curtains to go out of shape and even shrink.
