PANGKOR LAUT - AN IRRESISTIBLE GATEWAY

If you are contemplating the idea of a luxurious yet relaxing getaway, Pangkor Laut, located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca, offers both pure privacy and privilege for all their guests. A destination absolutely luxurious and unique on its own, Pangkor Laut is definitely a retreat that rewards in ways that simply need to be experienced. Pangkor Laut Resort and the eight Estates is a true oasis sprawled amidst 300 acres of the island.

Pangkor Laut Resort
World renowned Pangkor Laut Resort is a destination that has drawn critical acclaim since established in the nineties.

The 5-star luxury Resort is a beautiful haven surrounded by pristine beaches and a two million year old rain forest including an award-winning Spa Village. Eight secluded estates have been created ; three of which are situated on the beautiful waterfront of Marina Bay allowing guests the pleasure of a private beach whilst the others are designed to blend seamlessly into the jungle on the hillside overlooking the ocean offering absolute privacy.

The Resort also boasts a variety of exciting activities, such as wakeboarding, kayaking, water-skiing and snorkelling. For guests who are looking for a romantic getaway with their partners, they will not be disappointed. Sailing into the horizon on a sunset cruise is an experience a couple will cherish for a lifetime. Also for guests who would like to have their very own beach wedding, Pangkor Laut Resort provides a magnificent backdrop to the most romantic of ceremonies. The resort also offers honeymoon and wedding packages.

There are many famous celebrities who have spent their getaways at this resort. Amongst them are Jodie Foster, Keira Knightly, Steve Forbes, Dato Jimmy Choo, Sting, Heidi Klum, and Kimi Raikonen.

The Estates
Each individual space of The Estates at Pangkor Laut is thoughtfully crafted to provide refined elegance and luxurious comfort. Intricate interior details accent the otherwise informal design which emphasizes ease and function. Polished tropical hardwood floors are accented by textured fabrics that add warmth to the elegant bedrooms with their podium beds whilst bathrooms and vanity areas are wonderfully spacious, and crafted with fine attention to details.

Thus, each and every individual Estate is a unique experience - tailored to blend comfortably and stylishly into its natural environment.

Every Estate has two dedicated staff members at the service of the guests. They prepare snacks and refreshments, cook and serve meals, address housekeeping requirements, and unobtrusively coordinate all aspects of tenancy. Meals, teas and snacks can be as adventurous as the guests desire, as the cook's skills span a wide range of both local Asian specialties and Western cuisine.

Every effort is made to ensure the comfort and pleasure of the guests. Private and peaceful, or, active and social, each Estate offers guests the opportunity to make their vacation exactly what they wish; in absolute and total anonymity and privacy.

Transportation to the island is easy and quick as The Estates' helicopters fly between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Pangkor Laut. One can reach the island by taking a limousine from the city to the village of Lumut, then boarding the YTL Lady, a luxurious motor yacht that brings guests directly to the island.

Each Estate has a private vehicle and driver should guests wish to leave their Estate to dine in one of the Resort's restaurants, or have a treatment at the Spa Village.

The Spa Village
A visit to this spectacular resort would not be complete without a trip to Spa Village Pangkor Laut; a spa that combines the healing arts of India, China and Malaysia into a therapeutic offering that was voted by the readers of Condé Nast (UK) as being the world's best. It is a unique retreat that extols the healing cultures of the region. Malaysia, with its diverse history of people and cultures and a vast abundance of natural resources, provides the backdrop for health rituals that are amongst the oldest in the world. The abundance of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Thai practices makes this the ideal setting for complete rejuvenation.

The Spa Village comprises a number of specially built structures designed to facilitate an extensive range of treatments from China, Japan, India, Thailand, Bali and Malaysia. These include eight treatment pavilions - a deluxe Belian Treatment Pavilion, three 'Healing Huts' which include Chinese herbal, Ayurvedic and Malay Huts, two Bath Houses, three Spa Huts, three Nap Gazebos and a Spa Boutique. Twenty two beautiful spa villas situated over the sea offer direct access to the Spa Village.

Pangkor Laut gives the best of both worlds: an island getaway with unforgettable views, and a luxurious retreat. Staying at Pangkor Laut truly is an experience which reflects its essence of an award-winning resort.
